The International Alliance of Patients' Organizations (IAPO) is attending the World Health Organization’s (WHO) 65th World Health Assembly (WHA), Geneva, May 21st-26th 2012. As an 'NGO in official relations with the WHO', IAPO is able to make statements on agenda items at the WHA. IAPO plans to focus at the Assembly on the following items in the WHO agenda: prevention and the control of non-communicable diseases; medical products that are substandard, spurious, falsely labelled, falsified, or counterfeit; research and healthcare systems. IAPO will be sharing its statements and press releases on its website, and on the IAPO Facebook and Twitter pages.
